The Purple Iris in Martinsburg, WV Wedding
The pair met at a party thrown by her sister's friend. They both attended West Virginia University where she majored in dental hygiene he and completed his bachelors and masters in computer science. Two years into their relationship Sean completed his masters degree and started his new job...two and half hours away from WVU where Kelsey completed her degree. They took on the challenge of a long distance relationship for three years and came out on top. They knew they were a strong pair who wanted to be in it for the promise of forever. Kelsey and Sean said their vows before family and friends at The Purple Iris in Martinsburg, WV on May 20th, 2017. They planned a rustic chic tent wedding reception, complete with twinkle lights and a lot of dancing! The color palette of the decor followed suit on Kelsey's stunning BLUSH wedding dress! When I asked them what their favorite detail of the day was (you know aside from the whole getting married and celebrating the heck out of it part) they said their guest signing piece. Below you will see the image of the gorgeous piece of wood carved into the shape of their favorite state, West Virginia, signed by all their loved ones. The couple danced to Crazy Girl by Eli Young Band for their debut as husband and wife on the dance floor and wrapped up by dancing the night away with their wedding party and guests to all their favorite party jams including (of course) Country Road by John Denver. Sean and Kelsey completed their wedding experience by honeymooning at a resort on St. Lucia.
Kelsey's piece of advice to future brides: "Take at least one minute while you're sitting at your sweetheart table or head table and really look around, take it all in, and really enjoy the moment." Great advice! Weddings planning takes a lot of effort. Enjoy what you have designed!
